Apple Halwa
Have some apples sitting in the kitchen and don't know what to do with them?
How about some deliciously sweet Apple Halwa? This pudding-like dessert is popular in not only Indian cuisine but also in Asian and Middle Eastern cuisines.

INGREDIENTS:
2 tbsp Refined coconut oil
4 cups Apples (Finely chopped)
3 tbsp Brown sugar
½ tsp Cinnamon powder
½ tsp Vanilla extract
⅓ cup Cashews
INSTRUCTIONS:
- In a pan with refined coconut oil, roast cashews on low heat till golden brown, remove cashews and set aside.
- Add apple to pan on medium-low heat, sauté for 15 minutes or until apple juice evaporates.
- Add brown sugar, mix well until sugar dissolves. Adjust sugar amount as desired.
- Lastly, add cinnamon powder, vanilla extract and roasted cashews. Cook until halwa thickens. Garnished with mulberries and enjoy!
